One month left before the “ArchChallenge 2017: Modular Homes” contest entries expire
Entries for the international designers and architects contest “ArchChallenge 2017: Modular Homes” are still accepted. One month left before the contest entries expire, the deadline is set on July 25. After that, voting of the Jury members and short list publication will be proceeded, and finally the award ceremony will take place on September 2 within the framework of the “ArchiDni” exhibition to be held in the “Yasno Pole” eco-park with the support of the Union of Moscow Architects.
The participants are invited to develop schematic designs for modular homes and architectural pavilions intended for accommodation and relaxation of the guests arriving at the “Yasno Pole” eco-park (Tula region).
As of today 200 entries are submitted for the contest. The contest coverage is continuously growing: it includes not only Russian, but also Moldovan, Kazakh, Belorussian and Ukrainian architects.
Nominations:
• Modular Home: for this nomination the participants must develop a schematic design of a modular home with the considered arrangement and built-in utility systems on the area of 20 to 120 sq.m that must be comfortable for living.
Modular Home must be reliable and should be adapted for the Russian weather conditions.
• ArchiTochka (architectural pavilion): for this nomination the participants must develop an object wondering with its aesthetics or surprisingly astonishing with beauty of simple forms. The object shall be harmoniously included into the eco-park environment and be suitable for staying and admiring landscapes, communicating or just having rest.
The contest’s prize fund is 390 000 rubles. Every nomination includes three winning places. The first place winner in the Modular Home nomination will get 120 000 rubles and the ArchiTochka nomination provides 70 000 rubles to the first place winner. In addition, the winner will be granted an opportunity to live one week a year in the realized object for the coming three years. Every project shall be accompanied with a separate contest application submitted through a personal account on the Archchallenge.com website, for which the participant shall:
- Fill in the project questionnaire including its description up to 3000 characters;
- Upload pictures (3 to 10) in JPG (RGB) format, 3000×3000px.

In the nearest future we will publish the detailed schedule of the “ArchiDni” exhibition to be held in the “Yasno Pole” park on September 2-3.
Eco-park “Yasno Pole” is a place for leisure, work and living in harmony with Nature. The park with a landscape which is rich for forests, hills and fields, water holes and rivers, is located in Yasnogorskiy rayon of Tula region, near the Oka river 120 km far from Moscow. Development of activities related with living on Earth is planned on the territory of 500 hectares; they include outdoor activities, healthy food, creative activities, as well as research and implementation of the most innovative technologies of “green” architecture and construction.
