Creativity under one roof: NAYADA project for the joint-office of the Mail.Ru Group in St. Petersburg
NAYADA participated in the design of an office for two independent companies, united under the Mail.ru Group brand – Studio Nord (Mail.Ru Games) and the popular social network Odnoklassniki (Classmates). This office in the Renaissance Pravda BC in St. Petersburg is located on the 7th and 8th floors and has a total area of 2,400 square meters.
Architects from the BRIZ-Studio created an effective modern workspace and transferred to this interior a special spirit and atmosphere for business, oriented to the development of communications between people and recreation. NAYADA interiors greatly helped the architects embody their ideas. The unusual design of the office partitions enhanced the gaming and creative atmosphere of the offices.
Outlines of St. Petersburg on NAYADA-Crystal Glass Partitions adorn the meeting room opposite the general reception desk. The drawing is made on two decorative films in one shade – translucent and opaque.
The conference hall is fitted with NAYADA-Hufcor convertible partitions, completely covered with a whiteboard. This original solution allows the partition walls to be used as writing boards on both sides.
In the office of the Odnoklassniki social network, the workspace consists of blocks that are separated by meeting rooms. Each of these is decorated in different styles. The negotiating zones are created using partitions with double-glazing and the NAYADA-Twin enhanced soundproofing system.
In the meeting room at the reception desk, the NAYADA-Twin glass was replaced with Smart-glass. Using a remote control, the transparency of the glass is changed –- with a simple touch of a button, it is made opaque or transparent.
In one of the meeting rooms, the NAYADA-Twin system has been decorated with white opaque film. The drawing on the film is placed on the double-glazing in such a way that a person passing by sees a 3D-effect of trees in a forest.
Rooms for meetings of working groups are decorated with NAYADA-Twin partitions and NAYADA-Crystal all-glass partitions. The green hills and craggy mountains design allows creating a “natural” interior. A recreation room “among the trees” is made using the NAYADA-Crystal System.
NAYADA-Crystal partitions are also used in the meeting rooms of Mail.Ru Games. Light patterns on the glass, made of decorative matte milky film isolates the meeting rooms from prying eyes, and at the same time lets the daylight into the hall. The profile along the perimeter of the partition, painted in a dark color and a dead-end door emphasize the strict lines.
“I want to say, ‘many thanks’ to ourselves for solving the set tasks. Design and implementation of the new office of Odnoklassniki and Studio Nord became for us a unique experience. We managed to find solutions that not only anticipated the wishes of our customers, but also pleased the employees of the companies. The new office was bright, comfortable and efficient. Presently, we are involved in decorating work, but already we can evaluate the results of the architects favorite project of 2013,” commented on the project architects Gregory Neverov and Alexey Galkin from BRIZ-Studio.
